7.EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR MATTRESS.
There are three major factors contributing to the depleting life span of your mattress. Let’s go over the main reasons sleeping directly on a mattress significantly decreases the longevity of a typical mattress.
The three tips listed below may be awkward to talk about for some… but this is real life, and these are real issues. So let’s just dive right in!
A memory foam mattress topper will protect your mattress from these three common issues. Body perspiration (and other fluids), dead skin/ bacteria and indentations/settlement issues. Let’s take a better look at each topic.
a. Body Perspiration
On average. The body releases up to two pints of moisture each night. This is through sweat, breathing and other fluids. The only place for this to go is into the covers, duvet and ultimately your mattress. A mattress topper allows you to stop sweat and perspiration from reaching your core mattress. So even though the topper and covers will still absorb perspiration, its far cheaper to replace a “dirty” topper than an entire mattress.
b. Dead Skin & Bacteria
Each day. The average human sheds 1.5 grams of skin. Some of this skin will inevitably end up on your bed. By using a topper, you can keep all that dead skin off of your mattress. After a period of time, toppers are much easier to take outside for vacuuming, airing out and maybe even a good ol’ broom whippin’ (similar to hitting a floor rug with a broom to knock off dust).
c. Mattress Settlement & Permanent Indentations
Eventually, foams will somewhat compress. This is nothing out of the ordinary and is the nature of the nature of foam structure. By using a topper, you ensure that the top layers take any sag and not the mattress. Our topper will last for years, but should you need to, a topper is much cheaper to replace than an entire mattress!
